Do not take Yasmin if you are pregnant or you think you may be pregnant or nursing. This medicine is in the FDA pregnancy category X, which means that it can cause severe birth defects in unborn babies or nursing infants.
During your treatment you should avoid smoking. Smoking greatly increases the risk of heart attack, stroke, or blood clot formation.
Also, be aware that no birth control medicine does not protect you from sexually transmitted diseases such as HIV or AIDS. Using a condom is the only way you can protect yourself from these diseases.
Possible Yasmin Side Effects
Yasmin side effects cannot be anticipated. If any develop or change in intensity,
inform your doctor as soon as possible.
More common Yasmin side effects may include: dizziness, headache, lightheadedness, stomach upset, bloating, or nausea.
Less common Yasmin side effects may include: severe depression, groin or calf pain, sudden severe headache, chest pain, shortness of breath, lumps in the breast, weakness or tingling in the arms or legs, yellowing of the eyes or skin.
