Remeron may make you dizzy or drowsy; use caution engaging in activities requiring alertness such as driving or using machinery.
Limit alcoholic beverages.
To minimize dizziness and lightheadedness, get up slowly when rising from a seated or lying position.
Special Information if You
Are Pregnant or Breast-feeding
The effects of Remeron during pregnancy have not been adequately studied.
If you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant, tell your doctor immediately.
It is not known whether Remeron appears in breast milk. However, because many drugs do make their way into breast milk, you should tell your doctor if you are breastfeeding or plan to breastfeed.
Possible Remeron Side Effects
Side effects cannot be anticipated. If any develop or change in intensity, inform
your doctor as soon as possible.
More common Remeron side effects may include: Drowsiness, dizziness, dry mouth, constipation, increased appetite, or weight gain may occur.
Less common Remeron side effects may include: swelling of hands or feet, muscle pain, mental/mood changes.
Rare Remeron side effects may include: back pain, shakiness (tremor), increased urination.
Very rare Remeron side effects, but still serious, may include: persistent sore throat or fever, chills, trouble breathing, chest pain.
