Are Pregnant or Breast-feeding
The effects of Nexium during pregnancy have not been adequately studied. If you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant, check with your doctor before taking this product.
Because Nexium is likely to appear in breast milk and could harm a nursing infant, you'll need to choose between taking this medication or breastfeeding your baby.
Possible Nexium Side Effects
Side effects cannot be anticipated. If any develop or change in intensity, inform your doctor as soon as possible.
More common Nexium side effects may include: headache, diarrhea, nausea, gas, stomach pain, constipation, or dry mouth may occur.
Less common but serious Nexium side effects may include: throat pain, chest pain, severe stomach pain, coffee-ground vomit.
Symptoms of a Nexium allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, trouble breathing.
