Are Pregnant or Breast-feeding
This medication should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss
the risks and benefits with your doctor.
Lexapro passes into breast milk. Because of the potential risk to the infant, breast-feeding while using this medicine is not recommended. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
Possible Lexapro Side Effects
Side effects cannot be anticipated. If any develop or change in intensity, inform
your doctor as soon as possible.
More common Lexapro side effects may include: nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, upset stomach, loss of appetite, dizziness, drowsiness, trouble sleeping, or dry mouth may occur. If any of these effects persist or worsen, notify your doctor promptly.
Rare Lexapro side effects may include: increased sweating, unusual fatigue, changes in sexual ability/interest.
Very rare but serious Lexapro side effects may include: stomach pain, vision changes, unusually fast or slow heartbeat, uncontrolled movements (tremors), chest pain, unusual or severe mental/mood changes, muscle cramps, restlessness, seizures, change in the amount of urine.
Symptoms of an Lexapro allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, severe dizziness, trouble breathing.
