Aldara Cream Precautions
It is important that the doctor has your complete medical history. Include all medications, prescription and over-the-counter, you are currently taking.
Sexual contact should be avoided while Aldara is on the skin. Aldara may weaken condoms and vaginal diaphragms.
Special Information if You
Are Pregnant or Breast-feeding
Tell your doctor if you are pregnant before using Aldara.
It is not known whether Aldara Cream is excreted into human milk. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
Possible Aldara Cream Side Effects
Aldara doesn't destroy healthy skin. Most people who use it don't complain of pain. One of the most common Aldara side effects is redness. This may be a sign that your immune system is working. Other common Aldara side effects are peeling of the skin, itching, flaking, and swelling around the warts.
Important Additional Information:
Because Aldara Cream doesn't cure Human Papilloma Virus, the cause of genital and perianal warts, new warts may form during treatment.
