Are Pregnant or Breast-feeding
The effects of Aciphex during pregnancy have not been adequately studied. If you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant, inform your doctor immediately.
Aciphex may appear in breast milk and should not be taken while you're breastfeeding.
Possible Aciphex Side Effects
Side effects cannot be anticipated. If any develop or change in intensity, inform your doctor as soon as possible.
More common Aciphex side effects may include: headache, diarrhea, nausea, gas, upset stomach, dizziness, or constipation.
Less common Aciphex side effects may include: rash, stomach/abdominal pain, back pain, unusual tiredness, vomiting.
Rare Aciphex side effects may include: ringing in the ears, fever, swelling, unusual weight gain or weight loss, trouble breathing, vision problems, change in amount of urine.
Very rare Aciphex side effects may include: chest pain, unusually fast or slow heartbeat, dark urine, yellowing eyes or skin, seizures.
Symptoms of an Aciphex allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, trouble breathing.
Additional information
If you are taking Aciphex for gastric ulcers or reflux disease, your symptoms should improve within 4 to 8 weeks. If your symptoms do not improve or if they become worse, contact your doctor. If using Aciphex for an extended period of time, obtain refills before your supply runs out.
